Big news on the Flamingo Fly-By Fundraising Front! Our good friends at LizTech on Crystal Street in East Stroudsburg have really stepped up to the plate to help open the animal shelter in Monroe County. To help commemorate this momentous occassion their jewelry designers have brought out of retirement and reconfigured a pink flamingo pin to help raise awareness and funding. The AWSOM Board of Directors has set Saturday, October 31, 2009 as the Grand Opening of the Monroe County Animal Shelter! That's right, Halloween! Come to the grand opening gala with your furry friends and other friends as well.
