The High Plains are a Desolate Place!

Crossing I-90 from Sioux Falls, South Dakota to the Black Hills and the Badlands crosses the High Plains, a very desolate, cold and windy environment this time of year. You can see what happens when a boy goes out to walk his pet and gets caught in bad weather. It was 21 degrees this morning and the bike was covered with snow! The roads were a bit dicey, especially the bridges until it warmed up in the afternoon, to 35 degrees! I'm spending the night in the Badlands at a small NPS/National Park Service cabin about the size of my motorcycle but an incredible setting. Tonight is the last night for the cabins in the park, end of the season and I just made it. The National Weather Service is calling for a low of 11 tonight with possibility of 2-4 inches of snow again! Still having an AWSOM time and passing out those postcards!
